Exercise Medicine holds a profound potential to improve mental health. More than just a healthy or virtuous habit, specific exercise-based strategies can help improve the way an individual thinks and feels.

BrainStrength is an 8-week movement and education group program designed to meet the needs of older adults aged 65 years and over (or over 55 years for those identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander).

During the program participants will engage in exercise specifically designed to boost physical function and get access to workshop based mental health education. The program is also designed to help individuals connect with others and benefit from the power of shared experience. 

Workshops will foster opportunities for participants to learn more about behavioural and lifestyle strategies that can enhance mood, cognitive function, memory and sense of wellbeing, building resilient mental health for a healthier future.
